Graduated from Alexandria Faculty of Medicine in 2001, obtaining Excellent grade with honours and ranking among the top 15 students in the Faculty. Obtained Masters degree in Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2008, with a thesis domain focusing on DNA damage in sperms. Obtained PhD in Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2013, with research domain about soluble receptors of advanced glycation end products in coronary artery disease.Currently, she is in her final stage of obtaining a second Masters degree in Medical Education with a research focus on competency based medical education. During her academic path, Dr Yasmine was awarded a scholarship to Leipzig, Germany, with a research focus on spermatic DNA damage. She also received a training in Rome, Italy, with a research focus on DNA damage in irradiated cancer cells. Dr Yasmine collaborated in several funded research projects with Northwestern university, USA, ENEA (Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development), Italy and other Egyptian organizations. From the year 2018-2020, dr Yasmine held the position of Assistant Vice Dean of postgraduate studies and research in Alexandria Faculty of Medicine. She has several indexed publications published in high ranked journals, and has supervised around 25 masters and PhD theses. She also holds training certificates in human nutrition and has participated as a speaker in several nutrition workshops and conference Regarding teaching, Dr Yasmine taught in several faculties besides Alexandria Faculty of Medicine, including Armed Forces School of medicine, Arab Academy for Science and Technology, Alexandria faculties of pharmacy, dentistry and nursing. She coordinated several undergraduate and postgraduate courses in addition to being a member in the assessment and evaluation unit, AFM and is currently the head of Medical Biochemistry and Molecular Biology discipline, AAST
